Welcome to the home page for Polyhedral Dice 2003 !  This program will simulate a standard set of polyhedral dice, which are commonly used in pen & paper role-playing games.

Polyhedral Dice 2003 is the .net Compact Framework version of Polyhedral Dice for Pocket PC 2002.  This program is virtually identical to the older version, but will run natively on Windows Mobile 2003 devices (no additional install).

Features Shared by both versions

• You can specify an average role, where the program will generate each number 3 times, and report the average
• Automatically re-roll any result of 1.
• Simulate a "loaded" die.  This option will artificially limit the lowest (and highest) result possible based on the number of sides on the die.  The program automatically will determine the appropriate die weight, but the amount is user configurable.  If you specify a die weight that is higher than the number of sides, the program will change it to the maximum number of sides without any prompting, so no "super" cheating allowed!

Pocket PC Requirements:

• Windows Mobile 2003 (Pocket PC 2003). *
• 100K of available storage space.  (This program should work without error running from a storage card, as it makes no registry entries outside of the installer program)
• .net Compact Framework.  **

* This program will run on a Pocket PC 2002 device if you have installed the .net Compact Framework.  Please see the ReadMe1st and InstallInstructions text files located in the distribution archive for specific information.

 **This is pre-installed on all Windows Mobile 2003 devices, but the SP1 version is included in distribution package.  If you install this bundled version, it will require additional storage space and is a separate install.  Please see the ReadMe1st and InstallInstructions text files located in the distribution archive.

Desktop Requirements :

• ActiveSync Version 3.7 or higher.  You can get the latest version from Microsoft here.
• Approx 2MB of HDD space (for installation, only 100K once installed)
